The short version: we collect the minimum needed to let you save your numbers and come back later. We don't sell your data. Financial figures you enter are self-reported estimates for your own planning — we don't verify or share them with lenders.
HomeFitIQ (homefitiq.com) is an independently operated financial planning tool, run by an individual (sole proprietor), not a registered company. Throughout this policy, "we," "us," and "HomeFitIQ" refer to the operator of this site. You can reach us at hello@homefitiq.com.
Like most websites, we may use analytics tools to understand how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited, general device/browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address. This helps us fix bugs and improve the tool. We do not currently use this information to identify you personally.
We don't ask for your name, Social Security number, bank account numbers, or any other information that would let us — or anyone else — verify your real-world identity or finances. The numbers you enter are for your own reference.
HomeFitIQ uses essential cookies/local storage needed for the site and your saved account session to function. If and when we enable analytics or advertising (see Section 6), those services may also set cookies or similar technologies to measure usage or personalize ads. Where required by law, we'll present a consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set, and you'll be able to manage your preferences at that time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your saved financial figures for any purpose beyond displaying them back to you.

We may earn a commission if you click an affiliate link and complete a signup or purchase with that provider — this doesn't affect the numbers HomeFitIQ shows you, and recommendations aren't influenced by which providers pay the highest commission.
We retain your account and saved scenario data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete a saved scenario, it's removed from our database. If you'd like your account and all associated data deleted entirely, contact us at hello@homefitiq.com and we'll process that request.

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and residents of the European Economic Area have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We use industry-standard practices (including encrypted connections and Supabase's built-in security features) to protect your information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password if you create an account.
HomeFitIQ is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time, particularly as new features (like analytics or monetization) are added. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of HomeFitIQ after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
